The coronavirus epidemic has affected every country in the world, and Nepal is no exception. The crisis of the pandemic has pulled the problems and inequalities present in Nepal into a sharper focus, providing a festering ground for human rights violations to become commonplace, far more than before. Nepal enacted such a lockdown starting from 23 March till 9 September 2020 and it went till Bandabandi (second wave). The conditions worsened once lockdown and Bandabandi was slowly eased. The number of infections has been rising since the ease of lockdown and Bandabandi. JuRI Nepal prepared a ” Media Monitoring Report during Crisis” focusing on human rights violations issues.
