Promoting Human Dignity Projects key achievements report disseminated

31 December, 2023 JuRI is pleased to share its five years (2019-2023) project completion report of the Promoting Human Dignity Project (PHDP) which was supported by IM Swedish Development partner. The report focuses on key results including policy achievements, knowledge building, capacity development, civil society organizations joint initiatives to ensure human rights focusing on social and economic justice and civic space. This report also covers lessons learnt and key challenges faced during the project period. JuRI has also piloted this project in 2016 to 2018. Full text of the report is available here.

NHRIs Budget Tracking Status Report Published

10 January, 2023, Kathmandu Justice and Rights Institute Nepal (JuRI-Nepal) published a comparative report on budget allocation and expenditure tracking of National Human Rights Institutions in Nepal. There are eight National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) as constitutional bodies. NHRIs are responsible for the protection and promotion of human rights in the country; however, they have different mandates. Publication: Human Rights Based Approach Information Leaflet  Language:  Nepali Year of publication: 2079 Partner: IM Swedish Development Partner  JuRI-Nepal in collaboration with all eight partners (JMC, FTG, SSDC, DSDC, IRDC, SWAN, FKDF and SEED) published 7,000 leaflets on "Human Rights Based Approach (Manab Adhikarmukhi Awodharana)" in April 2022. These leaflets were distributed to all partners and local governments in May 2022. The aim of the publication was to promote human rights based approach in the development sector.
