JuRI Nepal is providing technical support to 28 Local Governments of four provinces (Koshi, Madhesh, Karnali and Sudur Paschim) of Nepal to formulate Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) responsive budget to promote local governments role to address GBV and SRHR concerns, which are shadowed and the guideline adopted by Ministry of Finance is not properly implemented. Under these supports, twelve LGUs are from Sudur Paschim, nine LGUs are from Koshi, four LGUs are from Madhesh and three LGUs are from Karnali Province.
To support LGUs, GRB and PFM experts were mobilized in the provinces during last week of February and it is completed in the first week of April, 2025.

JuRI Nepal is providing technical support to 17 Local Governments to draft Gender Equality and Social Inclusion- Comprehensive Implementation Plan (GESI-CIP). Among them nine local government units (LGUs) are of Koshi province and eight LGUs of Sudur Paschim Province.
Koshi based nine LGUs includes; Biratnagar Metropolitan city of Morang, Chaudandigadhi, Triyuga, Belka and Katari Municipality of Udayapur and Molung, Manebhanjyang, Chisankhugadhi and Siddicharan Municipality of Okhaldhunga. Model guidelines drafted to adopt gender responsive services at OCMC and Safe Houses

JuRI Nepal has provided technical support to the government to draft model Grievance Handling Mechanisms (GHM) related guidelines applicable to One Stop Crisis Management Centers (OCMC) and Safe Houses. JuRI's review report carried out in 2024 showed that, there is lack of internal mechanisms to address issues of GBV survivors under OCMC and Safe Houses. So, to respond these policy and service gaps, JuRI has drafted these guidelines through a consultative process.

JuRI-Nepal is providing technical support to draft Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Policy in 11 Local Government of Madhesh Province. Out of them four LGUs GESI policy have been finalized after second consultation meeting and handed to these LGUs (Birgunj Metropolitan city and Pakaha Mainpur RM of Parsa, Agnisair Krishna Sawaran RM of Saptari and Siraha Municipality of Siraha) during 20-24 February, 2025.

Community Action Plans (CAPs) Review & Planning Workshop
Under “Hamro Sahakarya” project in project three districts 20 Women’s Self Help Groups (SHGs) are collectively raising their voices against harmful & discriminatory norms and also addressing community problems. For this each SHG have developed their own community action plans and are facilitating to raise sensitized community people, seeking commitments and ownership of the local governments, enhancing access of marginalized community in the community resources/services and advocating for the effective implementation of policies/guidelines that promotes gender equality and social inclusion.
