Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Justice and Rights Institute (JuRI Nepal) has successfully concluded its 10th Annual General Assembly today through semi-virtual method. Attended by 31 members (26 members and 6 staffs), the assembly after discussion endorsed annual report of the activities and achievements for the fiscal year – 2077/78. The progress report was presented for consideration by Rukmanee Maharjan – the Secretary General of JuRI-Nepal. The General Assembly also endorsed annual audit report presented for discussion by treasurer advocate Shyam BK. Chaired by advocate Pankaj Kumar Karn, the Assembly discussed, amended and approved on the three policy agenda tabled for discussion and approval. It has also endorsed its new five year strategic plan (2022-2026), as vision document of the organization to work in the areas of human rights, rule of law, justice and social inclusion.
As per it’s Constitution it has also formed an 11 members new Executive Committee for next two years under the leadership of Advocate Shyam Kumar BK. The newly elected Executive Committee members are as follows;

Vice-chairperson – Advocate Rukamanee Maharjan
General Secretary – Advocate Sashi Basnet
Secretary – Mr. Gopi Parajuli
Treasurer- Advocate Sarmila Parajuli
Members- Advocate Aarati Bista Rana, Advocate Mohan Sashankar, Advocate Nirajan Thapaliya, Mr. Rishi Neupane, Advocate Uma Joshi and Advocate Saraj Raj Thapa.
