JuRI Nepal and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Nepal jointly organized an enter dialogue program including key authorities of all the National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) to promote coordination, collaboration mechanism and implementation of their recommendations  in Kathmandu on 17 August 2022.

The program was chaired by Hon’ble Top Bahadur Magar, Chairperson of NHRC Nepal. Mr. Gopi Parajuli, General Secretary of JuRI Nepal delivered welcome remarks and objective of the program . All the commissions (NHRC, National Women Commission, National Dalit Commission, National Inclusion Commission Indigenous Nationalities Commission, Madhesi Commission, Tharu Commission and Muslim Commission) were represented by chair, members including key and senior staff members. The key members and representatives  highlighted about  NHRIs effective coordination, collaboration and implementation status and challenges of their recommendations. Most of the participants suggested to change focal ministry to Ministry of Office of Prime Minister and Council of Minister, currently Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration are mentioned as focal ministry in most of the commissions except NHRC. All the commissions  agreed for their future collaboration and also requested CSOs including JuRI Nepal for their support  for effective coordination, collaboration and implementation of NHRI’s recommendations. Mr. Murari Prasad Kharel, Acting Secretary of NHRC and Mr. Mohan Lal Acharya, Executive Director of JuRI Nepal facilitated the sessions focusing on NHRIs recommendations implementation status and coordination, collaboration mechanism within NHRIs.  JuRI Nepal had studied the recommendations implementation status of NHRIs last months and Mr. Acharya highlighted the brief data of recommendations and their implementations status. All commissions  thanked JuRI for highlighting the actual data and showing the real scenario of implementation status of NHRI’s recommendations. 105 participants attended the event.
