Justice and Rights Institute -Nepal (JuRI-Nepal) in solidarity with twenty-six partner organizations, has urged to the Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Honorable Giriraj Mani Pokharel and chairperson of Education and Health Committee of House of Represenatives Honorable Jaipuri Gharti to look into the policy recommendations on the implementation of the right to free, and compulsory education and swiftly initiate amendment of the Compulsory, and Free Education Act 2075, and ensure effective implementation.
The CSOs affiliated with the National Network for ESCR, in a memorandum submitted to the Minister Pokharel and chairperson Gharti says: “It has been 19 months that the Parliament passed the Compulsory, and Free Education Act 2075, but no rules, and regulations have enacted yet in order to translate the provisions into practice.” The rules and regulation are the guideline that shows how the provisions of Act are translated into action.
