Gender and Justice – A compilation of research papers released

JuRI-Nepal officially launched a research-based publication titled Gender and Justice: A Compilation of Research Papers for Inclusive Societies” by organizing a special event. The event was attended by law students, academicians, legal professionals, researchers, development practitioners, civil society representatives and media personnel. The publication particularly covers themes including, Gender justice and inclusive governance, Sexual and reproductive health rights, Social and cultural barriers to healthcare and justice, Harmful practices, Caste and gender discrimination, Access to justice and institutional accountability, Rural–urban disparities and emerging social justice issues in Nepal. The book aims to contribute to evidence-based discourse, policy advocacy, and inclusive social transformation. It is expected that the book would be a valuable resource for policymakers, researchers, students, judicial actors, development practitioners, civil society organizations, and academic institutions.

These research papers were authored by 20 Law students (B.A.LLB) under six months legal mentorship program in collaboration with National Law College and with the support from UNFPA. Four mentor’s guidance was key to finalize the research papers and a four members editorial team was engaged to shape it in the publication stage. The dissemination event took place on 25 May, 2026 in Kathmandu.
