About this publication:
The Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB) Handbook for Local Level, 2082, which was developed and published by the JuRI-Nepal with the support of UNFPA, is a useful resource material that helps local governments in Nepal to apply GRB to planning, budgeting, and implementation procedures. With an emphasis on inclusive and equitable resource allocation, service delivery, and accountability, the handbook helps local elected representatives and local government employees to translate national legislative and policy commitments on public financial management and GRB into practical actions. The handbook advances gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) with women’s rights, social justice, and the “Leave No One Behind” principle through GRB in local governance by improving knowledge of GRB concepts, tools, and local-level responsibilities within Nepal’s federal context.
