Business/Entrepreneurship Development Training
The five days (6thAugust to 10thAugust 2024) Masters Trainings of Trainers on Business/Entrepreneurship Development enhanced knowledge and understanding of 25 project participants from the Self-Help Groups on entrepreneur skills, business management, customer care, market and marketing skills and business plan. The participants also strengthened their understanding on promoting local resources and livelihood opportunities for sustainable business. At the end of the training four different business plans on goat farming, pickle making, tailoring and leave plates/dunatapari was prepared.
The key sessions of training includes Introduction, concept of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial traits and types of entrepreneurs, motivation to become and entrepreneur, factor affecting entrepreneurship, traits needed to be an entrepreneur, market and marketing management, art of selling, customer care, costing and pricing, legal aspects on business management and development of business plan.
The training sessions were interactive and participatory that focused on sharing personal experiences/reflections, group work and practical exercises/games. Besides these facilitators also used presentations and shared case stories and examples. The training was facilitated by Entrepreneurship Development Experts; Mr. Rajan K.C. and Mrs. Sabita Koirala.
Prior to this training, the project had supported 206 women (Dalits: 161, janjati:36 and BCT:36) from SHGs on income generations activities that includes she-goats support (130), retail shop (28), tailoring (29), poultry and pig farming (19).
After this training the trained participants are expected to work as local facilitators for business/entrepreneurship development who will be helping Self-Help Group members on the income generations initiatives and also promoting their own business/livelihood.
