31 December, 2023 JuRI is pleased to share its five years (2019-2023) project completion report of the Promoting Human Dignity Project (PHDP) which was supported by IM Swedish Development partner. The report focuses on key results including policy achievements, knowledge building, capacity development, civil society organizations joint initiatives to ensure human rights focusing on social and economic justice and civic space. This report also covers lessons learnt and key challenges faced during the project period. JuRI has also piloted this project in 2016 to 2018. Full text of the report is available here.

10 January, 2023, Kathmandu Justice and Rights Institute Nepal (JuRI-Nepal) published a comparative report on budget allocation and expenditure tracking of National Human Rights Institutions in Nepal. There are eight National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) as constitutional bodies. NHRIs are responsible for the protection and promotion of human rights in the country; however, they have different mandates. Nepalese people have a huge expectation from NHRIs as their guardian and protector of their fundamental rights.
