JuRI- Nepal submitted its review report and advocacy policy brief on increasing access of marginalized communities in crops and livestock’s insurance to Hon’ble Purna Kumari Subedi, Chairperson, Agriculture, Cooperative and Natural Resources Committee of the House of Representative on 23 June 2022. JuRI has reviewed insurance-related laws and policy focusing on rights of marginalized communities. The review was carried out by JuRI-Nepal in collaboration with Indreni Rural Development Centre (IRDC), Kapilbastu and Society Welfare Action Nepal (SWAN), Dang. The study areas were Kapilbastu: Bijayanagar RM, Shivraj Municiaplity and Dang: Gadawa RM and Rapti RM. This report was also submitted to Hon’ble Mahindra Raya Yadav, Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Development and Secretary of the ministry.
